Breeding Plans
We have put off plans to breed Nikki for summer 2009 in an effort to help other associated breeders place their upcoming litters into loving homes. Our studs have been used for three litters due in June and July 2009 located in Iowa, San Diego, and New Jersey. Puppies from these litters will go to new homes between August and September, when they are eight weeks old. You can find info on these litters on my associated litters page.
I am personally seeking homes for pick puppies from these litters. In our stud service agreement, I am given the opportunity to take one of the best puppies from the litter to use in my breeding program in the future. In turn, I need to find good homes that are willing to keep their dog intact (not spay/neuter) until the dog has had the opportunity to contribute to the gene pool. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a great puppy and to make a contribution to the future of the breed. New owners will have the opportunity to pick up their puppy directly from the breeder, or from me in the Chicago area, as I plan to travel to see all of these litters in person and I can arrange to fly a puppy home with me at the same time. Please contact me for more information!
Visit our ASSOCIATED LITTERS page for more information on upcoming litters related to our Chinooks!
We are continuously seeking homes that will keep their Chinook intact for breeding. Not only will we have breed potential puppies to place from our own litters, but we often have pick quality puppies to place from associated litters as well. If you are interested in or capable of keeping a male open for breeding or if you may be interested in having a litter of your own, please inquire with me for more information about "breed potential" Chinooks. The future and growth of the breed depends on current AND FUTURE Chinook breeders! I am most willing to mentor and assist you.
Thank you for your interest in the breed and for visiting our pages. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you have and for breeder referrals.

Please visit the OFA website for further health information on Channahon Chinooks. Our contracts require all owners to screen their Chinooks for hip and eye disease. Hip films are usually submitted to the OFA and are listed on the OFA website (non-passing films are only listed with the owner's permission). CERF eye certifications are submitted to the OFA directly by CERF and are only published on dogs that already have an OFA number. Additional CERF information on Channahon Chinooks can be found on the CERF website. If you require assistance understanding your search results on the OFA or CERF websites, please send me any questions you have. *Not all of the Chinooks produced at Channahon have been evaluated by CERF and/or OFA at this time.
